Hi folks. Got an Anthia with that dreaded white spot. Been reading all the posts so just wanted a second opinion.

Tank 180; 10 years or more old, no livestock or any other changes, but some new hydras, in a least a year. Param’s are all good. Did a 40% water change but same salt, matched temp and SG right on. He did seem a bit stressed after that last change. He is eating and no other signs on his body. Everyone in my tank get big variety of frozen foods soaked in selcon.

Your thoughts? (No way he comes out of the DT easily for QT or hospital)

Thanks

If all of your other fish look clear, and it's only that one spot it could just be an injury from rubbing a rock etc.

I would just keep an eye on it. If no other spots appear and all other fish look good you'll know that's all it was.

Is the spot cottony or cauliflower like and raised a bit? Or is it flat/smooth and filmy white/light greyish?

Fairly white, kinda cottony/raised. On its fin and nothing showing on body. I am somewhat hesitant to say bacteria, but that’s why I posted.
I haven’t had to deal with illness since over 6 years ago Brook hit 3/4 of my tank. My oldest guy is at least 10 y/o.

Thanks again
