I have been watching a lot of wood turning YouTube videos and with the blessing of SWMBO I got a lathe today. I got a small set of carbide tools made for pen turning but I used them to make my first bowl. It could have been a little deeper but I am happy with the results.

I'm not great at wood working but do enjoy it. We build everything around my place. Mostly rough cut projects. Here some recent stuff in the last year.

can you guys please give me a suggestion for the top trim for my stand.

i am planning to put some wood flooring on top of it as the "table top" - but i dont know what trim to use for the edge. (front side of the tank.).

some sort of molding? anything. What do you think will look good?

Crown or case molding would work well. if you are not looking for something more simple just lay down to top and band around the top with the wood you are using now.
