Had a little issue with the energy bar last night after a main electrical fuse poppped to our house yesterday.
Power came back on, apex reconnected with Wi-Fi but several pieces of equipment failed to come back on. After much fiddling and figuring, found all the outlets in the power bar were not working even though they were lit and could be turn on and off from the app, but no power would come from the outlet.
Fortunately, I had a new backup EB8. Pulled the old one out, installed the new one, reconnected everything plugged in the PB8. and everything worked, sort of. With new bar in place and all equipment running the problem is I cannot get reconnected to the Wi-Fi to b able to check if everything is functioning properly and programming, power draw etc.

Questions: is the power bar 8 a direct swap unplug everything, replug everything , no programming necessary?
Why would the brain not be connected to Wi-Fi just because I switched the PB8.
I’ve rebooted the Wi-Fi & reset the controller. I’m just at a loss
It’s been 2017 since I set up my system and programmed everything so I’ve forgotten a lot of the set up. Everything worked perfectly up until last night

TIA for any suggestions

If I recall correctly, so long as you don't change the Apex itself or how it's connected and do just a swap, you should be good to go. I don't think that changes anything on the configuration.

When you state that several pieces of equipment fail to come back on, I presume they are plugged into the outlet?

There is a widget for power draw per each outlet in the Apex menu. If you can connect to it and turn the outlets off and on, I'd watch for the power draw to each.

yes the return pump, one light, dosers, & heaters were all plugged in. The one that caught my attention was the return pump and where I started my diagnostics. Tried plugging it in different outlets and manually turning on from the dashboard, nothing. It was not until I tried to top off the tank from the sump with an auxiliary pump and hose that I realized the outlets weren’t working even though they were lit.
My problem now is, after the swap, even though everything is working I cannot get the base unit to connect to Wi-Fi.
After power came on, base unit was connected, after the swap not connected.
Reset Wi-Fi, then reset the base, no connection.
Correct me if I’m wrong but the base reset is simply a paper clip pushed into the small hole on the bottom until the light blinks blue, then release

Ok I got a notification that I have a missing module and that module is the 832. How can I make it recognize this module. It will not let me configure it.

On a lot of wifi devices there is a pairing button. Does the EB8 have one of those? You know, like you push the button on the device, and then the button on the router.

I used a paper clip to reset the base unit. Nothing changed. Checked router for connection and all items in the house are connected with exception of apex. Now I see an alarm that says missing module.

I can't help you with your WiFi connection issue, but your old EB8 sounds like the small power supply board is blown. Check out THIS FIX HERE to see it that's the issue with your old one.

There should be a yellow circuit breaker on the EB832. Have you tried pushing that in?

The EB832 is connected to the Apex by their "aquabus" cable. Are you certain the cable is functional? Have you tried another cable. One of the most common solutions to perplexing electronic problems is a bad cable.
