Someone has to get a good closeup of a fish with those amazingly striking eyes. Midas Blenny, wrasse or an Oreni. Not sure if the Clown Goby on Oregon Tort can be topped IMO.

The Oreni I once had timed an ascent from water into air so well I could’ve missed it scraping one side of the glass I bet, however, I remember those Sapphire eyes and bold curiosity it displayed. Much too brief on our trusted kinship, However I loved those blues “Strangers In The Night.”

I took many photos before I finally captured the exact moment he opened his mouth.

Amazing, and I totally agree with Tahoe61 on, this is really inspiring! I tried a few shots today, and I really went for it a while between feedings to see who was eager enough to come out for there iPhone shot. I was hoping to capture that perfect gotta time it to the fraction of a millisecond and rapid fire a ton of pictures to get just 1 beauty. Well I’m happy with the fuller reef shot, it’s a keeper, but nothing too stellar for this criteria. I want to submit my Copperband. The pic I’ll use is the one where it’s coming more head on next to the Cyphastrea. With Red Sea LED’s Blue’s @ 34 intensity and white a few clicks higher, the gorgeous yellow bands are lightening to behold and the whitish regions are a nice contrasting opaque blue gray. My experiences with CBB’s have been great mostly up until this one. CBB’s will always be in a tank of mine large enough to accommodate one. Plenty of stories I can tell of some of the CBB predecessors to my current resident. It’s reef safe with caution implications are valid. Some other butterflies in my experience own it, dwarf Angels have always been Angels in my reefs. This CBB gets a menagerie of name calling from me. Today it’s Bouger if you know how hard it’s to capture a picture of a moving fish, (most of my French is well..) or buger, my intended moniker. Another side note, probably 2019, I was to receive a CBB on Friday FedEx. Some delay, so I ended up driving to a pickup location Tuesday morning, and it lived and was a champion in my reef. Well, I love this hobby and I hope the many pictures shared drive your passion, and your eyes see the moment more clear than the best camera can capture, but please keep the pics coming.
Ps, PNW reefers, if you want this fish, I’ll give it to you if you can make it happy, this is my only glass surfer. I think it needs a 100 gallons more and a good looking match.
