Just want to share my experience with rhe Filefish. How I trained it to eat aptasia.

I brought it home about amonth ago to control my aptasia population. First week I noticed the fish didn't touch any aptasia, but it instead it almost decimated my acan colony. Therefore, I moved it to my sump along with some zoas colony with growing aptasia. Another week went by. All zoas and aptasia disappeared from my sump. I starved the fish for three more days and move it back to DT. After two weeks, Miraculously, all my aptasia are gone.

Now I need to rehome it locally before it comes on to my acan and zoas colony.

That´s a normal problem with file fish - many individuals at least. My present one do not touch LPS......yet.......

Sincerely Lasse

I have 4 (2 per tank) and they're model citizens. Aiptasia lawnmowers, but don't touch anything else. Wish they would thin down mushroom population...
