hiw much better would an ai vega or ai sol be over the eBay full spectrum fixtures

ive had both chinese full spectrum fixtures and fancier fixtures like the AI, Kessils, Etc. In my experience comparing the difference in performance, my ebay fixtures have had the same performance as any other fancier more expensive fixture. Now with fancier units like the AI vegas or sol your going to have more features and control, as well as a better looking light physically, most ebay fixtures are just a black box. Thats the only difference that I can see between the two.

Just my experience here. After a year or so of running reefbreeder value fixtures the blue leds in all 3 units burnt and had to be replaced. I also know of this happening to at least 2 other members in my local club. At the same time my AI and every club member's I know are still seem to be running like new despite some of them being 5+ years old by now. Just my personal experience, I am sure others have great luck with them. I did run the fixtures near 100% though.

I loved the value fixtures and similar black boxes, but after that I stay only with the higher end fixtures.

The first set of cheap fixtures started dropping random led's within a year and a half. My second set seem to be hanging in longer.. However, I purchased three fixtures (for my 180) for less than the cost of one of the higher end fixtures. I am shopping nicer fixtures for my new rimless 60. Since the fixture will be visable, design is a huge consideration.

What AI do you use

I use multiple Hydra 26s. I like spreading out the clusters.
