Thank you. I used the pipe as the buffer so the closest it will be to the glass is .75 inches. Thats only at the closest point almost all is a minimum 1 inch off the glass or more. The outside of the pipe is where the glass is. If that mskes sense lol.

I found 3" off the glass wasn't quite enough for me. I prefer using a disposable handheld razor blade to clean the class, and I tend to bump or knock over any rocks less than about 4" from the glass, especially close to the bottom.

I think it looks very good, but I'd be cautious about how much straight up and down vertical you have. I'd want it more slopped myself, to avoid dark, shaded areas.

That was my only concern. Im hoping the light makes it to those parts. We will see. It will be back of the display so im hoping the front lights get to it.

The lights on the stock hood are pretty near the front looking at them now. I feel better. Also im going to have softies and easy LPS that dont require too much light. Still want the lights to hit it though.

I think you might do better with a bot more of a sloped stack, that will give you more real estate to place corals. If you place a coral at the top of a vertical cliff, it will shade all underneath.

I would remove half of 1 side and lean both together, you would still have the cave and it would be a little shorter for vertical coral growth.

I did make sure that its under 2/3rds height of the water in tank

I took the right side apart lol. It was too vertical you were right. The other one isnt as bad and has a few shelves sticking out slightly

Well a little better. Just not much room in thid thing lol. But thank you. It is better.

Would you guys care to weigh in here? I think the OP's rock stack is too straight up and down. Sorry, @Kwonny , I just don't want you to be disappointed three or six months from now

a little tight to the glass. don't see how you would get your hand between the rock to clean the glass or a magnetic scraper...most are at least 1" thick

It could work. However,
it's hard to attatch most of your corals to verical structure.
Ultimately if you like it it's all that matters.
If this is your first system a simple structure is not a bad way to start the learning process.

I did change a bit. It has more of an angle than before and a few more places to put coral. In terms of glass cleaning. I have .75 of an inch at the least mostly over an inch to the glass. I have a scraper on a long rod with 6 different attachments and the magnet cleaner. Hope I can manage.
