You could have lied and said you had ecotech radions above those corals and I wouldn't have thought any different. Heck, chinese black box, nobody would know...

Besides those two big metal halide ballast hanging on the wall.
I couldn't afford enough radions to cover ten 4'x4' tanks.. What would that be, about a million bucks?

I'm going to stick with Halides. They have worked for me for nearly 15 years. Yes, they give off some heat but that's helpful 8 months out of the year in Ohio.

Lol, I really laughed at this one Reeferfoxx, and I know you probably really don't know what they are but its just so normal to me. No disrespect at all girl. A ballest is what drives or produces the energy to light a MH or HPS bulb.

LEDs have been proven!o_O Granted, some folks wanna spend $40 on a LED fixture and can't for the life of them figure out why it's not doing anything for their coral?

Every time i open the canopy lid when the halides are running it takes 5 minutes to regain sight. I would say they work great

My wife is a technology freak and she's always it rites with something. I'm sure she knows the pain of you LED reefers while I'm over here with my Halides and Kalk Stirrer living the stress free reefer life.

Absolutely! They are hot, they are old technology and they are bright. Most of all they work effortlessly.

yeah. seems we are beta-testing a technology that still hasnt proven itself without an inch of a doubt like the mh.

id hang back another year or so. leds are still trying to grow.

ill say that ime... they are just about there if you know what to avoid.

led market is toxic to new comers. mh is plug and play

May not be the most aesthetically pleasing led fixture, but has proven to me over the course of 1.7 yrs that these LEDs work for sps, lps and anything put in my tank. I know if i had a larger tank, two or even three would be more than enough light.

It is 100percent a great and usable technology. Research isa must still. Know what foxtures are good and what intensity to use to not destroy your crop. Im sure it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out. However people must use half a brain here. With the halides worst thing a new person can do is fry their arm, hopefully they learn after one time
