I was wondering if anybody runs this fixture under their canopy? Alot of users post their pics of their tank w/ them free hanging over their tank. I talked w/ ATI today & they said that they can't warranty the fixture if its under a canopy b/c of the ballast over heating. I still find people on here that have theirs mounted under canopy w/ no problems. Also, ive read somewhere that the fixtures detect excessive heat and turn the lamp off until it cools dwn enough and then it'll turn back on. I havent got this fixture yet but am wondering if this is going to be an issue and if im going to have to alter my set-up in some way or another.

Many people run a fixture like this, but they put a few cooling fans in the canopy to keep everything cool.

I told the guy I spoke w/ that I currently have 2 fans mounted on the bk of the canopy I just don't have to use them w/ the radions. He said the exhaust fans are on the end of the fixture & w/ the lt being 47" long & canopy measuring around 48" it wouldn't give it much room to vent.

Might want to vent on the sides of the canopy as well then. Just a thought.
