I am not at liberty to dig into all the details folks, but as it stands moving forward will indeed be the X and Flex:
X - Single panel
Flex 102 - Double Panel
Flex 153 - Triple Panel

The X also has an available tank mount.

Timeline on the X is TBD, however Flex should be back in stock (briefly as we have lots of pre-orders) in the next week or so. I can take orders via email if folks wish to secure shipment in the next 10 days or so.

It sounds odd, but after having the opportunity to test both the pro panels and flexes hands on, I actually prefer the spread/output of the flexes more. The panels on par mapping seemed too intensely tight, whereas flex was a broader, more even output.

No the Straton X is different. It’s a new squarish panel that was revealed earlier this fall.

G1's went EOL after being sung a song for a couple of years in this market. At least they let you securely mount the G2's this time around ;)

They're still fantastic lights, sucks that the discontinuation wasn't announced earlier.

I think you'll be okay with them unless you need a third one. Then you'll probs have to reach out to ATI NA to see if they can special order it from Germany.

Yea I like them still and seeing the pros vs the x in person, I still liked the pros for various reasons. Just sits weird with me to have $4k in brand new, not even installed, and already discontinued lights.

Agreed. Especially with how abruptly we all found out.

That stinks the pros are discontinued. Doesn’t make sense. I don’t understand the flex model for a 6’ sps tank. Too much of a gap on the ends.

Yes that is unfortunately Ati non sense customer and marketing politics. And those you just bought one will already have leds that will loose values quickly when the new model comes out. I'm skeptical about the X, the lamp itself and the reflectors seems very nice but no improvement in spectrum from what I saw on the box, still lack in 385,430,too much cyan.. And the ficture will be much smaller than the actuall straton. So even if the new reflector should have better spread the problem is this spread will always be more bad than bigger fixtures because more smaller the ficture is, more pyramidal will be the spread and this may not be an issues for frags but shadowing will be, once you have big colonnies. Or you will need more lamps . So one ficture may be cheaper, but if you need more, you made end spend same or more than actually .. And more lights mean also more cable.. I don't unterstand why they make it smaller.

I was going for high PAR, adjustable spectrum, separately adjustable portions, passive cooling, and powerful LEDs driven at a small fraction of their max output.

I am not sold that the X is a upgrade, or that the Pro was required, but I am sure they are great lights as well.

I have a friend getting the Flex next week and look forward to checking it out and comparing to my 204s.

They’re the same lights just different form factor. Instead of 2 sections (102) or 3 sections (153) side by side, they’re in series.

I haven't read through this whole thread but I have been in contact with ATI NA for several months now regarding the Xs and the Pros. The Pros cannot be purchased anymore....anywhere. They also do not know when we will see the Xs in the US...if at all
