ATI Straton LED Light - Comments, Review, PAR, Coverage, Discuss...

On a Cade 1800 peninsula 71x30x24 SpS would you go 3 - 153 pros? 3-204 won’t fit or I would.

I currently run 4 xr30 g6 pro mounted to a quad 60” reefbrite fixture. The width is 17.5”

I get a ton of light spill and have 8 cords

Will I get better coverage and less shading? I know I will get less light spill and no sound. My current setup grows corals. Not the issue

I would think 3 - 153 would work perfectly.
Off topic a bit but I highly recommend the radion xr30 high intensity lens for your g6. They are a game changer the light spill will be gone. They add g4 esque shimmer getting rid of the flat look the stock lens cause. Almost change the color crisper. You’ll fall in love again with your Radions.

Any reason you wouldn’t do 2x204s? I run this over an S-850 and the coverage is amazing.
I love your tank. It’s beautiful. But similarly the gap would give my ocd a run for its money- 204’s are really what I want.

I plan to upgrade to a much larger tank in the future-

Still itching to go Straton but doing the upgrade with the lens while I decide might be the way to go. Would be the Cheapest upgrade Ive ever done. The glare is really bad

Concerned about spread if switch will I need to raise the light’s more?

with the 4 reefbrites and the 30" front to back spread will not be a problem. We have upgrade two of our farm tanks with the lenses and just raised the fixtures 2". You will be surprised how happy you will be with those new lenses. The glare and the light spill will be gone.

I have g6 and g4 over my current tank. My g6 have the high intensity lenses. They were a good add on to increase par but saying the lenses eliminate glare and light spill is definitely a far stretch in my experience. My wife absolutely hates it lol
The only way to stop the Radion light spill into your eyes is to put them in a canopy.

I bought 2 Straton 204s to replace my radions on my new build because of the light spill and 2 light cords/power bricks is better than 6.

hi guys

I have a question about ati straton & my project. First sorry for dont do a presentation & introduction project thread, but iam still recovering information, when is more advanced i will do.

I have choose a nyos opus 300 pro tank for my project , love the aesthestic of the tank, the dimensions is 90 x 55 x 53 cm (35.4 x 21.7 x 20.9 in).

i have doubts about what is the best ati straton for this tank between flex 102 and pro 102 , both have pros and cons.

the flex is 94 cm long for a 90 tank, iam worried about light spilling on the sides of the tank and aesthetics of a bigger light than tank

in other side the 102 pro says that cover:
  • Lighting SPS: 60 x 70cm (23.6 x 27.5)
  • Lighting LPS: 70 x 80cm (27.5 x 31.5)

look like is not enought for 90cm , but if you have in consideration the glass thick and the fact that the most of the aquascape is not close to the sides... look enought lighting and better coverage in the center.

what do you think? for that tank size the 102 flex or 102 pro?

I have a 72x36x30 SPS dominated setup and going to upgrade my lighting and heavily considering the Flex. I was also reminded of the upcoming X. I love the pros, but they are discontinued and being replaced by the X fixture and although the video looks promising, it looks like there are only 100 diodes in the fixture, so will be much more compatible with the 102 pro and I really want that T5 blanket of light approach. I was told the X will come in comparable to a Radion XR30 price point and meant to be a direct competitor. All those with the flex, fill me in on your thoughts. I'm wondering if I should actually go with 3 to get the blanket of light I'm after. Also thought about 1 or 2 of them with T5s flanking the outside. I'm open to suggestions.

Where did you hear that the Pros are being discontinued and replaced with the X's?!

Also, you could always start with 2 Flexes and add a third if you need. I suspect 2 will be enough though.

From ATI North America. That's why they are out of stock everywhere. Guess they can get more power with less wattage on the X and also much more economical to manufacture so easier to compete is what it seems. I think I'm going with 2 Flex and 3 Blade Glows

yep. I am on the fence right now to change to ATI on my 96x30x24...for less wires and sleek design...
If I do will use the 4 XR30 for the frag tanks...

Oh dang!

I thought they were out of stock everywhere because the freight shipment hasn't arrived yet. I was quoted a ETA date of 11/18/2025 for shipment order of ATI essentials arriving in the US.

Yea getting rid of the pros actually wouldn't make a lot of sense.
ATI NAm lists 2 sizes of the flex.
37.5" and 56.1" long .
That's a fairly restrictive series.

Now considering the oddity of the companys relation to the US distrributor it may be that the pros won't be imported into the US.

All speculation of course.

I was told that’s why they aren’t on BRS anymore and the other vendors need remove them. I think their focus will be Flex and X from the conversation I had. Not 100% sure the details. May just be a US thing.

I am not at liberty to dig into all the details folks, but as it stands moving forward will indeed be the X and Flex:
X - Single panel
Flex 102 - Double Panel
Flex 153 - Triple Panel

The X also has an available tank mount.

Timeline on the X is TBD, however Flex should be back in stock (briefly as we have lots of pre-orders) in the next week or so. I can take orders via email if folks wish to secure shipment in the next 10 days or so.

Is the single panel basically an upgrade to this at least 8 yr old model?

Reflectors look different and I assume led makes/colors..
"New" or old?

The Sirius has nothing to do with any current projects, it was discontinued more than 10 years ago.
I have no idea why ATI Germany still has the Sirius listed on their website.
