I'm thinking about doing 2 ATIs with 3 Kessil A360x for shimmer and coral pop on a 72x30x30 mixed reef, LPS heavy. My other choice would be Kessils with Reefbrite. Do you guys have a recommended mounting height for the ATIs over a tank with these dimensions? I could potentially use the 55° reflectors, but I prefer the shimmer without a reflector.

I have Acro's growing very well 29 inches below the lights on their high mixed reef setting so should not be a problem for you.
Very nice! I have a small cube and I have a couple of SPS 22 inches under the water and Straton 17 inches above the water line. It isn't even 100% just 75% and still gets almost 200 PAR.

If You're speaking of the Stratons, I would mount them about 12 to 14 inches above the water in a 30 deep tank. Being LPS heavy You should have more than enough PAR at that level.

I never liked hunting fixtures too low because of the water exposure myself.

My cube is almost 22 inches deep and I have a Straton 17 inches above the water line. I have it on the SPS/LPS Mixed Mode preset and set at 75%. I still get right at 200 PAR on the sandbed and have a lot of spillover at that height.

PAR won't be an issue. The Kessils might add some shimmer, but not sure how much with the strength and coverage of the Straton.

I'm a fan of muting the shimmer, so I'm totally fine with the Stratons overpowering the Kessils a little bit. I don't want to totally lose the shimmer though, or waste money, so I figured 2 Stratons was the better choice rather than 3 Stratons and 2 A360x's.

Yea one thing I can say, the coverage is crazy with such a large footprint. It stays very consistent as well. I have seen many European tanks with SPS on the bottom with Stratons.

Also to add, I would be careful with that PAR on the Stratons. Don't forget, these have MANY more LEDs than a normal fixture. 18 UV and 18 Violet when most have 4. It isn't a bad thing, I think it's a great thing, But they are powerful.

I agree with this, I actually run a lower PAR using these lights.

Yeah I plan on using 2 of them over my 90 gallon reef. I will have to dial them wayyy back it sounds like. I will upgrade tanks again one day and these should be future proof.

I’m running them up to 90% on SPS Plakativ, I’ve had good growth, but I noticed my colours aren’t as vibrant as someone who was growing their SPS under Hydras (same Walt Disney, fresh frag from my friend, vs old frag from same friend about a year ago, the new WD has clearly more yellow/ fluorescence).

How long have you had them over the corals? Any reason you're running them at 90% with whites up that high? Did you use a PAR meter to adjust them?

If I had to guess, I would say you're bleaching them a bit.

Just using what the sps plakativ is, most the corals have come from 600 PAR systems (measured) and my range is around 600-250 (on the floor, measured on a 510 Apogee)

Maybe be hard to understand, but 600 par on Stratons is much different than 600 Par on the Hydras. The Stratons have 153 LEDs and a much larger makeup of UV and Violet. Compared to the Hydras, they might as well be the sun.

I would turn them down a bit. Sounds like quite the system you have going! Post some pics!

Absolutely beautiful reef!

I can see bleaching in those SPS just from that picture. Looking at the pic, look in the upper left SPS. Half the blue/purple is bleached and so is the green. Looks to be many areas of that on the tank.

Just my observation, but you did a great job as it looks very nice! You definitely have the right light in the Straton, but it's easier to start lower and go up than to go high and correct.

Oh hah I should have explained half the corals probably look beaten up as I just rescaped it all.
But you maybe right - my montipora digitata has always been bleached - the happiest have always been tenuis and shortcake.

Here are some pre rescape with some white balancing.

I purchased the setup from the OP of this thread. The 4 ATI Stratons have been the best lights I've ever used and I've used a lot of lights. I released a YT video yesterday. Checkout the progress in just 3 months. Super happy with the Stratons.

lol, I saw the comment and was trying to decide on how to reply. This makes it easy, I can post pics. lol. I'm running them at 80% at the peak of day. Here a few pics of the different points on the graph.

Nice thanks - how did you come upon those settings?
I lent 2 of them to my buddy who runs a full SPS tank. He had them for aprox. 6 months while I built out the system. He dialed in the lights and had amazing results so I just ran with the settings he came up with. Been working great so far. Nice color and good growth and pleasing to my eye.

I've tried emailing around, 3 online retailers (some in Germany) already said no stock. I wonder if it will come back in stock soon or not? Seems to have been unavailable for a long time too. Same with the Alkatronic I'm looking for.
It is so hard to say with any conviction when they will sort out the supply side. The supply chains and container shippers are all so messed up still. I've had stuff sitting in a container in Tianjin for well over a month.

Finally got my lights hung, even finding 8020 extrusions is like pulling teeth, or waiting 10-12 weeks from 8020 directly.

Can't find z-bar / z-channel profile up here at all, had to make due with some 3/4 U channel that barely fits with the button head screws.

@ATI North America Any update on the bracket situation?
