Sellers aren't on here to get jerked around by some of you prospective buyers. You ask questions. We give answers. You ask for more pictures. We send more pictures. We agree on price. You ask for PayPal info, then fall off the face of the Earth. We send PM's, with no response. We don't put up items for sale, to get the run around. If you're seriously interested in an item, be courteous and respectful and reply to messages one way or another, if not. Don't waste our time, as we will not waste yours. Just tired of being jerked around by some of you on here.

What are you trying to accomplish with this post? It’s just a rant. It won’t change anyone’s behavior. I understand your frustration...but you can make the conscious decision to no longer deal with that prospective buyer in the future. Buyers sometimes experience the same thing. Talk to sellers, have back and forth conversations, and then the seller disappears. The unfortunate truth is that you will always experience this when buying/selling on a forum.

I'm not trying to accomplish anything with this thread.. If you have a problem, why did you post. It's my opinion. Free speech. Move on.

Amen to this - just move into the next buyer.

I’ve recently been buying up a lot of stuff for a tank I’m starting up and I’ve seen both side of this. I’ve not gotten back to people right away but I also have kids that come before this hobby. So maybe understand not everyone is perfect and things happen that are out of their control and don’t always warrant an explanation to you.

Hey , Vetteguy. I guess we're in the minority.
.
Your opinion is welcome. Im not frustrated. Its just courtesy when you change your mind to inform seller and in the mean time tell others that it is pending or sold and its back for sale again. This however may not be the link/forum to voice this frustration but I feel you. As others stated, especially on craigslist, you're going to get this from no matter what source.

Unfortunately it's a bit of a 2 way street. We have to ask a million questions and for pictures otherwise you end up with test kits with expired reagents (by nearly 9 months), you end up with an EB832 that you have to send in to Apex and spend another $90 on with them to get working, or you buy a pump that ends up missing several parts. I even once came to agreement on price for 3 radions that I purchased, sent the money as requested, had trouble getting the seller to ship and then was asked for additional $ because they felt they sold too low...

On the last 2 purchases I have made the apex and the pump I would have actually saved money by buying new after sending to Apex and purchasing the parts that were missing.

I'm with you, it can be very frustrating at times. Your opinion is welcomed and it's not asking much for buyers to be courteous. I've read plenty of rants from buyers complaining they we're first in line but the seller never responded.

Free speech goes both ways. But as a seller and buyer it happens on both sides and is aggravating. Part of life, just move on....

I just feel your pain as I've noticed you trying to sell your tank for months. It sucks it really does. I agree buyers should at least tell you they're not interested anymore however, same for sellers sometimes they fall off convo and come back sold or just post in thread it's sold. Like sometimes we as buyers would be willing to negotiate more

At the end of the day, R2R is a public forum. You will get this behavior. Honestly I have never had a problem selling gear here. Members are usually courteous. Some ask more questions than others.

Ya'll think it's bad today dealing with prospective buyers. . . can you imagine what it was like to try to sell anything when all you had was printed newspaper classifieds and your house phone number to give out? Anyone ever have to sell something through the Thrifty Nickle? Now THAT was frustrating. :D
