Hi all, what’s the reason to why my gold toruch tentacles getting skinnier? Things been going south ever since Dino appear in my tank. The mushroom isn’t opening as big as it used to and zoa isn’t opening much.

Nitrate:5
Po4: 0.15
Calc:480
Amo:0
Mag:1480

I’m only running carbon since the Dino outbreak, but I don’t suppose that’s the cause of the disaster happening to my tank right now? Any advice/suggestion/comments?

The reason why it’s this high is because I’m trying to promote algae growth in order to battle the Dino. So should I stop trying that and add back the GFO?

Personally I feel your phosphate is not TOO High, Heck I had mine above.5 and everything did just fine. whats your alk at?
my alk is at 8.6, I was told by my lfs that it’s ok as long as it’s stable. I’m afraid it’s the Dino killing off my corals at this point.

Irritated it a bit to check on the “flesh”. The 2nd picture is the torch before the Dino outbreak. The torch still opens up, though not as big and tentacles appear skinnier.

P.s: this isn’t a common Aussie gold torch right...? It seems the tentacle is shorter than what I seen online, but I got this colony for 550 about 3 months ago so just wondering.

About 3 months! It’s just weird seeing people on the selling page posting of their Aussie gold which have way long tentacles
