I received this torch yesterday and noticed today that it’s randomly oozing little strings. Anyone know what’s going on?

It was shipped to me yesterday and has been closed up since I got it.

That is more "closed up" than anything I've ever seen that lived.

It may improve. Keep a very sharp eye out for Brown jelly disease that could spread to your other corals.

Sorry to give you bad news.

Actually, in that second picture it doesn't look that bad. Torches often look like that after shipping. You can see the tips of the tentacles still intact. If it was jellying up, I'd get it out, but that doesn't look like what is happening.

Occasionally what looks like a tentacle tip will float away from it.

Did you take it out and sniff test it?
Sorry I should have thought of that 1 earlier.

I can see a few tentacle tips in the picture but they don't usually look that rough. At least all the ones I have seen.
