Does anyone know of an auto di bypass system that will allow a few minutes of permeate waste before sending to di resins once the system is started?

I use a tank level control to turn on/off my rodi system that I added a time delay relay so the first 5 min of production goes to the drain prior to the di.

Do you have a controller of some sort?

I have an apex. I have a Auto Rodi bucket filler. Whenever it starts up it does 1 minute of back flushing the RO membrane and every hour on the hour it does one minute back flush on the membrane. Once the 32 gallon Rubbermaid is filled my float shuts It Off. It restarts when it's empty with another float switch. For backup, I figured how long it takes to fill and set the timer so if the top float fails the timer will shut it off.

I don't have a controller.
I actually am trying to implement an auto bypass on my system that fills a pressure tank.
This is a system that we use for drinking+ fresh water aquarium water changes.
When using it for drinking we short cycle the system and get a decent amount of TDS creep.
I know it probably overkill but I'd like to figure out some sort of auto bypass to send water to the drain for a bit before storage.
I will look into a controller + timer , but not sure what I can use to trigger bypass then the system turns on.

That is why I did away with my drinking water RO. I just take it after the carbon filters.

What would be a basic controller that I could use to open a solenoid valve (to bypass) for a specified amount of time based on some sort of switch input? I'm thinking some sort of Flow sensor would be my best option to turn on bypass.
