Moved my RO/DI system to my upper laundry room Cabinet. From there water will get pumped into my garage. I also added a dual DI canister. More DI resin means less DI changes. I picked up 2 tanks. The 65g will be all SW and the 50g will be RO/DI water.

I still need to run all the waterlines from the area where the tank is to the garage. Not looking forward to that part. Up the wall, over the bathroom, into the garage. Sounds easy.. but I gotta deal with insulation and standing only on the trusses.

I ran the water lines from the fish tank to the storage tanks. Total length of the lines ended up at 35ft. So now I need pumps to move the water around.

Nice looking build! Did the diatom bloom disappear before the coralline algae appeared?
No, still fighting diatoms, algae and I have some small spots of Coraline appearing. Things are a bit out of balance. But tomorrow I have some snails coming that should help get things settled down.

Also have a McCoskers Wrasse, Royal Gramma basslet and swallowtail Angel comming.

Then next tuesday I have a tuxedo and pincushion, urchins coming.

Down the road I am hoping a few Anthias and 2 more tangs arrive. After I get these I should have all the fish I want/need.

Everything above arrived in good shape.

Added several acropora and millepora frags. Got them from a black Friday sale at AquaSD.
Speaking of black Friday, just ordered a DaStaCo Calcium reactor from Unique Corals. It was 15% off for black friday.

Finally got the mixing station finished up. Had to wait till the pump got here. So far everything works good. Next will be to get the GHL maxi and ATO working.

Here’s the inside. See how the water will flow from the mixing pump.

Feeling like I actually accomplished something today.
With the mixing station in the garage I needed to be able to turn the pump on and off from the GHL controller.

1. I ran a low voltage 12v line from the controller area to the garage.
2. On the powerbar side I am using a AC to DC 12v 2A power supply plugged in and the socket is controlled by a timer on the GHL. This power supply is connected to the 12v power line.
3. In the garage the 12v line goes to a 12vDC-120vAC relay. The Relay powers up a 120v cord to the pump.
4. Also wired a on off switch to be able to independently run the pump.

The reason for doing things like I did was to not run a 120v line from the power bar to the remote mixing station pump. Also, I could have just put the pump on a smart socket or timer, but that wouldn’t have been fun.

All in all, fun little project.

Sounds like a complicated setup, but I'm hardly an electrical guy. I do know that it's good to have the low-volt relay line instead of the 120V through the house/to mixing station, so hooray safer!
