So this is about a third of my tank. And everyone one of those white specks is a baby snail, about 3mm. Question is will darwinism apply to a controlled environment sealed ecosystem such as an aquaroum. About 2 months ago I had a snail release eggs into the water column, apparently they hatched and avoided the skimmer and overflow. I have some algea, but I killed off most of it, including all my good algea and have been doing water changes of about 20% every 4 days. To clear the poison I put in it which has killed just about every algea except this one that produces bubbles and is stringy and slime like. Anyways will all these babys survive to adulthood or even juvenile stages so I can get them to the lfs? I really dont need nor do I think I can support 100ish snails in my 75g.
