Bought a gaudy clown crab in the past from them with pretty good shipment quality etc, decided to order zoas and copepods from them and received them today. When I opened the boxfood and opening the zoas I found a bag of the brown water and upon cutting the bag I couldn't tell if the rock of zoas are dead or not. They are currently sitting in a container of saltwater. The pods arrived dead too.

Reefcleaners is usually quite good. Ive been ordering from them for heck must be 13 or 14 years. when you got your conformation is should have come from [email protected] If you reply to that email they are pretty good about responding quickly and John is good about making things right. I had one experience where my hermits didn't make it and he was quick to take care of it.

Just email John. He has always taken care of any issue like DOAs with me promptly. I'm confused about the zoas though, I've never seen zoas on reefcleaners.org.

He has them up on *Other Inverts*

Seriously, anything could have happened to that shipment. Likely heat. Kinda rough calling them out before letting them try to fix it first.

Didn't mean to come off as rude and sorry if I did, I was just mad.

I love reefcleaners, I have ordered from them around 7 times. One time there was an unexpected fall freeze and some didn't make it -- I don't fault them for that, but they made it right. I would always contact them directly first instead of calling them out publicly.

Yes I agree that was my mistake

The only weird experience I ever had with them was when I ordered a tiny clean-up crew for my nano (10-15 snails max). I had heard that he usually throws in a lot of extras so I made a note to please not do that because my tank was very small.
The order arrives and it's HUGE. I stopped counting at 200 snails. I didn't know what to do. My tank was newly cycled and I thought it would cause a crash. I made a comment on a forum and someone was like "Haha, that's John for you!"
I ended up making a local post for people to come pick them up. Got a couple free frags out of it, so it worked out ok!

I have done several orders since, and nothing like that has ever happened again, so looking back I think I probably just received the wrong order. But at the time I was seriously like "Is this dude messing with me?"

Might want to just edit your original post. A lot of people are only going to read that and respond without reading previous responses. You are going to continue to hear it from more people.

Look man I dont know what you want from me, but as you can see I already apologized for my actions and it won't happen again I hope you can understand that.

I don't see anything wrong with your post. I think that sellers need to work on their shipping methods, and this is one way to draw some attention to it.. not just for this seller, but for all in general. Your post didn't make me think negative of the seller because **it happens, and it he sounds legit and will take care of you.. It's also nice that long standing customers jumped in and gave him props - in the end it all worked out. I've received dead shipments and know what it's like - first, you're super excited you finally got your shipment, then depressed everything is dead... been there.. it blows.. but this sounds like it's going to all work out.

Agreed, it's good for the public to hear about these issues. Not sure what this post said pre-edit but I've got sympathy for a customer whose eagerly awaiting something only to find this, just dont be too harsh and give them a chance to make it right. I think a post expressing disappointment is fine, then let people know how the company responded, and give them props if they take care of you.
