Seems like an update is long overdue.

Many things have happened in the last couple months. My granpa passing. My mom’s revelation regarding her illness.

with regards to the Reef o’ Memes: I’ve discovered leveling the tank is going to be an even better learning experience. Beyond that, I have the plywood I need.

I also have the plumbing parts I need and flex seal for the plywood.

at this point I just need to cut the plywood, seal it, and get the tank leveled. Then it’s off to the proverbial races.

in other news, I managed to break my left pinky at work a week ago. All thanks to a dang basketball. Had surgery a handful of hours ago to repair the bball casualty.

Thanks Steve! Here’s hoping. Went to a hand specialist who is insisting on an OT appointment on the follow up appointment I’ve got with him.

oh I’m not. Just going to get through the weekend. I have some people I can call for the lifting of the tank and the leveling process. After that I’m good to go. Barring questions that come up as I’m going along.

I have a little practice being one handed when I sliced the hell out of this same hand.

I was away with friends years ago and someone had a baseball bat and a tennis ball, I took a diving catch leap back and right, missed the catch but remembered to pull my right wrist back as I already had two ops on that, I now have a plate on my right collar bone with six screws due to the landing, I don't even run for a bus now!

also very tempted to try another’s valentini once the 120 is up and running.

You want the best of both worlds, excluding eating Aip.

You need 3x Mimic Saddle Puffers (AKA Mimic Filefish) (Paraluterus prionurus)

Get them in a trio at least. They do best in groups.

If you plan on quarantining it, Do yourself a favor and test it first before going into the big tank. Both of my well fed matted FF have chowed down on Zoas. After the first, I tested the second with a zoa frag. They were gone in an hour. 2/2 no go for me.

im very tempted to just turn my 40b into a small predator reef Ala what lion king has done. And just let that be where I keep zoas and other often munched corals.

Your mimics ate corals? That sucks. Mine never did for me, and have not touched a thing in Dads tank.

What corals did they eat?
