I just got these and added them to my tank after acclimation. Should I move them close to aiptasia? They white which I think means need food. They not moving now though so im worried

just give them time, they'll find the aiptasia and reproduce as needed to eat it all over time. They also tend to be nocturnal.

I do have peppermint shrimp trying to get this guy he or she’s hard to capture mine seems smart lol

I have been trying to get the peppermint out of tank. I tried trap didn’t work.

Berghia Nudibranch

If this helps, I've bought them for two of my tanks (65g and 250 g), both times I felt like this is never going to work.
First tank the 65 g, has been without aiptasia for 3-4 months. (First tank we got our first issue in 2024, when we bought a rock that clearly had undetectable aiptasia.
The second tank we took on a huge rescue, a fellow reefer was pushing pause on his 250 g tank. With the rescue, we took on the tank with both the glorious and the troublesome life forms. The nudis adds have only been in tank two months. The aiptasia still are reproducing, but the numbers are WAY, WAY down. It takes a bit to get aiptasia gone gone.
Trust the process. Everything needs to go slow in our reef systems, adds as well as subtracting, it’s better for the tank life.
As far as proof of life, I never get to see mine too much before they need to travel walls to find more. Reefing after dark lets me see a lot of critters, that don't show up during the day.
In my RedSea display, one day I was looking, and I really don't know how long it’s been, since I've seen any aiptasia. If I have any, the nudis are keeping them out of my eyesight.
The nudis were placed in tank at night, and we turned the power off to the system for a half hour. Both tanks I saw just 1, about 3/4 inch nudi, after 2 months introducing them.

1 inch away is standard. That is to just get a
meal in them after the stress of transport. They are great hunters though, so once they get their energy back they will find it no matter where it is.

If you really want to see if they are alive you've got to check out the tank after dark, or I did see mine very early in the morning before the lights came on.

Shrimp, crabs, wrasses, and oddly Aptasia, are all predators of the nudis. Since I have a wrasse I was instructed to place them in the dank after dark, preferably after the wrasse went to bed.

Hello
I have a 125 gallon tank. I have a lot of Aiptasia, the whole tank is covered with them. I bought 4 Bergias about 3 months ago with great difficulty. I don't see much progress yet, but I hope they multiply enough to do their job. Every few mornings I see one or two crawling on the glass.
I want to buy a Copperband and the question is, is it dangerous for the Bergias?

Thanks in advance.

I would give the Berghia time. They have to eat every 4-5 days, so if you are seeing them they are eating Aiptasia.

I know, but the question is how fast will they multiply to start seeing results. Aiptasia can multiply faster than bergia can eat them. I have had them for 3 months and I have not seen a decrease in the number of aiptasia. And I will ask again, is the Copperband dangerous for Bergia?
