Best deals on Black Friday and what to expect this year

i bought everything i needed for my tank last black friday. even at 10% off MAP its cheaper than any other time of year. Then also bonus points on rewards and free swag ( sweatshirts, cups, etc)

I still think I can fit a 130.4 here. Do I have enough room if I put a door stop in the floor to make sure the door doesn’t hit the tank? I am 2” off the door frame and 5” off the new custom cabinet. I really really really want the 130.4 but everyone is telling me it’s too big. I was finally able to tape off the footprint.

That's generally what I do. Test kits and 6 or so boxes of salt.

Flip the hinges to have the door swing the other way so the door can’t hit the tank

Black Friday is right around the corner. What are you looking forward to this black friday? What can be expected?

Going to be buying a bunch of stupid colorful scolys, trachys, chalice, lobos, maybe a bubble shroom and maybe one of those expensive rainbow orange gonis.

I still refuse to pay the current market price for aussie gold torch, boycotting that s***.

Probably upgrading the HOB overflow on my tank. Can't push the GPH through it that it says it can. At least, not without it being super loud. Feeling I need more turnover in the tank so bigger HOB it is. Plus maybe a new gyre.

10% off MAP has been a norm. Wish they would increase that as the 10% is absorbed with shipping leaving very little discount. And then are vendor specials (whereas they mark the coral up 30% and then offer a 30 -40% discount). Im not holding my beath although hopeful for anything offered to say " wow- this is fantastic ! "

Yea last year the black Friday sales were less than stellar. About 10 percent off for equipment was the norm other than a few things.
I would expect the same.
We get pretty much get the same sales a few times a year now.
Black Friday means little compared to what it used to mean.

I’m in the same boat. I’ll be looking at rimless aquariums and stands only as complete set ups seem to cheap out on lights, protein skimmers and sumps. Cadlights and Waterbox are manufacturers that have had/should have Black Friday sales.

Most LFS are bound to have in store specials on tanks, filters and lighting ( at least Milwaukee area does )
