has anyone tried installing the 2" BIO blocks in wing sections of the return pump sump area?
Seems like a great place to install a WHOLE lot of surface area. roughly 4 to 6 2X2 blocks on each side.
Any drawbacks other than the copepods and such would go through the pump on the way to the tank. In my last tank I had a huge pump pushing 9 feet up through the floor and into my tank and I had tons of little guys that seemed to survive the journey from the fuge to the display.
Any problem with BIO cubes living in the dark ?

I don’t have bio blocks but I do have a bag of Seachem matrix on one side and a bag of marinepure gems on the other side of the return chamber in my IM Lagoon 50. Same reason, seemed like a good place to put a bunch of extra low flow surface area for denitrification. I went with the bags and smaller media so it would be easier to remove for cleaning.
