I'm planning on buying 3 different types of birdsnest corals and i want to put them close to each other on a small rock. Is it ok if they touch each other? Thanks!

As already said/shown above Birdsnest Corals (Seriatopora sp.) are typically very tolerant of one another including mixing S. hystrix and S. caliendrum as shown below in my system. I really like the look of mixed colonies and very nice for aquascaping being able to crowd without worry of warfare.

I've had these four different ones together over several years, this is a new start but have had them grow into Basketball sized master colony several times.

Cheers, Todd

Does it work with all kinds of birdsnest?
I would say absolutely yes, with caution, meaning if from different systems sometimes takes a bit of time to get acquainted. You can also do the same with mixing most Euphyllia species to gether ie Frogspawn, Hammer and Torch.

Side-note to above, many Corals will get used to one another in our closed systems over time and can be reasonably safe in close proximity. In pic above I had a large Stylophora colony where the newly placed Green and Hyacinth Birdsnests are now, you can see a little damage on the Pink Birdsnest where they first came in contact months ago though was fully entangled and living elsewhere. My system is very full and have mixed or crowded many Corals together to save space and look more natural. Corals are a lot like people as long as we are like-minded we mostly get along.....lol

Cheers, Todd
