I would leave the starfish be. It's possible the starfish is out at night.

How old is your tank?

I dint think so cuz I checked at night twice, and the problem is that i cand see him at all to know if he's ok or not..the tank is nearly 7 months..

It's probably a linka starfish. They're weird and don't typically do well in our tanks. It's theorized they may need sponges and algae in their diet to thrive. He may have found food in that hole or he may be hiding from other members of your tank. What else is in there?

I love them, but if they die, they turn the water into a smelly cloudy mess...i would keep an eye on it, but it could be hovering around and when they find a good source of food, stick around there for a while

Im worry Exactly because of thaT,i try to see if it's looking good or not every day but since the hole is small and dark I can't see much..just can see if he changes position or not [emoji36]I'm starting to feel bad about having it in my tank [emoji20]

Try to remove it, if you can fit tongues or anything that you could gently move it where you could see it, maybe you would better find out if it is doing good.

Iv had a blue star fish for around 8 months now and he's grown a lot , I'd just leave him be
Sometimes mine will stay in the same place for awhile
Just keep an eye on him to make sure he's not dead other than that just let him get on with it
Hope he works out for you

I have two blue linkia stars I've had for a few months. I originally had 5. Three died within the first 30 days. I have tons of sponge and my tank is very established we will see what happens long term.

They're not hardy at all and struggle with minor swings in any water parameter, if they make it a few weeks to begin with.

I've had my blue linkia for a couple months maybe. He doesn't move very much. Been in the same spot on the back glass for about a week. I'd say he moved maybe an inch. I don't clean my back glass though, so maybe that's why he hangs out back there all the time. I don't really feed him anything either. I've never seen him with a arm out trying to catch food or anything.
