The title says it all. I've got a bunch of corals hanging out on the sandbed, and a few in frag racks just waiting for me to decide where I want to put them. The trouble is, I'm being indecisive. Being impulsive and indecisive is a special kind of crazy. Help me!

Draw a diagram, make suggestions, help me pick these corals' homes! The winner gets a FREE attaboy/attagirl. ;)

Disclaimer: I know some of these are more difficult to keep than others. I'm stubborn and determined. Also, not pictured, three green mushrooms that arrived looking like they'd just driven over 10 miles of bad road. They're still hanging on in their little corner and I'm just going to leave them alone.

The bubble tip anemone is staying put, but Xenia island can certainly be moved.

Whats your par and flow like across the tank? The stuff bought have a very wide range of requirements so I would anticipate many of the placement will be dependent on requirement instead of aesthetic or other subjective factors.

From the pics I see your par requirement go ideally from 25-50 on the low end upbto 300-400 on the high end.

Flow also need to be "gentle sway" (roughly 100 gph or so) to "tidal waves" (1000 gph or so)

Approximate PAR with my light and settings (somewhere between these two, not accounting for shading from rocks);

Flow (aside from HOB filter and fuge) is two Tunze Turbelle Nanostream 6015 (475 GPH) on opposite sides of the tank, one pointing slightly up, one at center, and one Imagitarium Aquarium Power Head, 20W (303 GPH) at the right rear of the tank.

Yes, and yes!

How about use one of those small towers on the front as a torch rock, maybe you can glue a bunch of different torches on the sides and top of the rock?

I would maybe put the Leather opposite of the Torches because they can look like a tree when bigger, and it will give a good contrast to the Torches on opposite ends.

How about a shroom and lord garden somewhere near the back?

How did your placement go?
I have two duncans and a frogspawn I am trying to place.
What size is your tank? Are you using Noopsyche lights?

Absolutely nothing is the same from the original post. Haha. :D

I upgraded my main tank to a Red Sea Reefer 250 (54-gal DT, 11-gal sump) with Maxspect lights, and my 40-gallon breeder just got set up and stocked with mostly SPS corals with the NP lights.

My duncans have been happiest placed lower in the tank with moderate-to-low indirect flow. My euphyllia has been pretty similar. :)

Creating a strong bulwark: Did you consider floor support for your reef tank?
