I have had bubble algae for years. It is only really bad when nutrients are high. I have tried pitho and emerald crabs (neither tend to live very long). What has worked best is keep nutrients lower and a fox face. My magnificent fox face has made a huge difference.
Nutrients are low-ish
Po4 = .04
No3 = 4.5
I will be getting a small one spot rabbit fish from a place that does quarantined fish next week. Tank is only 100g and want to avoid the really big rabbit fish

In the past few weeks it has gotten worse and while not an eye sore I want to get it before it gets bad.

I had a bad experience with a emerald in another tank who liked my coral better than bubble algae

My outbreak is very small patches but most rocks have it and you have to look close to see it because it's so small.
Where did you get yours from?

I got mine from a company that just went out of business. Salty Bottom Reef. I’ve got 6 more coming this week from Modern Aquatix.

Males. Males have small claws and are less aggressive. Females have bigger claws.
