Bulb help

I got some actinic corallife pc (55w) bulbs.. They are almost purple and I hate them! Anyone recomend a nice blue bulb for a squarepin 55w pc bulb?

The Current 460 mm bulb is REALLY blue. Your Coralife is in the 420 mm range I believe. I used them before on my setup. Actually liked the... but if you want blue, you'll get it with the Current 460.

Yup, the Current 460 is blue, as are quite a few others. Check the spectrum chart for the bulb for a peak at 420 (purple) vs 460 blue.

Have you let the bulbs "burn in"? Many times on PC bulbs the purple will turn to blue after about a week of use.

They are still a bit purple but not as bright.. Hopefully they will continue to fade to blue lol

Jim, I have those lovely purple bulbs from Coralife as well and hate them. Just waiting another month or two before I replace them.

Sunpaq bulbs are really nice looking, a local in the club swears by them.
