I was off yesterday for the walk, and I'm off today. Then I work straight through Sunday.

Next week I only work Tues/Thurs...

The week after may only be Mon-Wed then a chunk of time off to close and move

My Christmas presents from my mom came in yesterday. I left them in their Amazon boxes but I WANT to open them to show off their glory (yes I already know what they are, somehow that makes this more difficult).

I also got a message from my cronie santa asking for my email? :thinking-face: hmm. Now all of you have it so you can sign me up for spam when I inevitably anger you (if I haven't already).

Yesterday was pretty busy so I didn't get to update about the vent fans in the bathrooms.

This was 2 of the 3.

The 3rd was not hit with the texture & paint guns.

This is pretty much the only thing the supe gave us pushback on at the walkthrough. M told him "I'm firm on this, I want them replaced." Dan said he'd roll it up to Bobby and see. M said "Don't worry, we're headed to him next."

We get to Bobby, we go through the "invoices" and he asks if there's anything else. M brings up the vent fans. He immediately says "well the one in the toilet closet is a lower cfm that's why its quieter."

I say "Is the one in the spare bathroom lower as well, or would it match the one in the main bathroom instead of toilet closet?" He says they'd be the same in the main parts of the bathroom. M says "great, I measured the decibels of all 3, here you go" :face-with-tears-of-joy: (the look on his face).

He follows up with "well our hvac guy guarantees it for 6 years" M says "OH YEAH, here's the warranty page info from the manufacturer, I printed it for you, here's the part where they specifically call out NOT to cover it with paint/drywall texture/etc" Bobby: "That's the units we used?? How can you be sure?" M: "No one threw anything away until the end, here's a photo of the boxes in our garage with our address written on them."

Anyway so we meet at the house yesterday to let a 3rd party inspector in (we got the okay to have someone else inspect prior to closing). As we're getting ready to leave we see hvac pull up - he heads in with a ladder does some stuff goes back to his truck for a moment. We're in a hurry to get to the insurance broker and meet with her, so we don't hang around to talk.

Pulling out of the driveway we glance at his truck, guess what's in the bed?

Yes, that felt like a good win especially with everything else happening with them through all this.

We have to decide if we want to leave the cube over at his parents for a little bit while getting the regular one set up and ready to go so that the fish have less moving back and forth to do or not. Leaning towards that option.

Next decision if we want to place the order for tank delivery to try to line it up the week of the 8th-14th when we'll be there moving and unpacking

Got to work today, went to put in my PTO for next week and realized I miscalculated ....

In the best way.

I'm now off all week next week instead of working Tues/Thurs, I had 2 more days than I thought left. All I can think is that I had already put the time in for after Thanksgiving and didn't think I did. So when I was looking at what I had left I was mentally subtracting the 2 days I took then as well.

Happy accident though.

So I work through Sunday this week, then I have all of next week off, then work 3 days with new years, then off the rest of that week through the following so we can close and move.
