I am wondering which printer you have and if you like it. Was it easy to learn and set up? I have been kicking around the idea of getting one used off FBMP or even new if I can find a deal. Just afraid I'm not gonna be smart enough to enjoy using it. @Mhamilton0911, @Projects with Sam, @tbrown any help would be welcome as well.

Zero issues, not really, but compared to the Ender, it's a dream. Minimal oozing, stringing, fast prints, bed leveling, bed adhesion, wash with dawn and it seldom fails. It does have a few quirks.

I've had to replace the gears for harden steel. Replace the fan.

Clearing jams is a good bit of work, remove the nozzle and disassemble the extruder. That's happening 4 times.

Multicolored prints are easy, but produce a lot of waste unless you flush into another object. Then it's moderate.

In my opinion, it's worth it, it does cost a bit more but not having to worry about all the little things makes it worth it.

If you want to spend as little as possible and get your feet wet, an Ender is still worth it. It does teach you a lot. (Patience? Problem solving?) :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing: I'm not disappointed in buying mine and passing it on to my nephew.

If have the budget for a Bambu, know you want to print things, get it. As close to a plug and play as you can get. You'll be printing as soon as the self check is done and won't stop till you run out of filament.

I want asked but IMO

Ender if you also want to learn how 3d printers work. They take more tinkering and tailoring.

Ankermake if you don't want to pay prusa or bambu prices and are ok sacrificing some quality for it.

If you want to print and learn as little about how the machine works as possible, bambu or prusa are for you.

I bought the ender 3 v3 SE, and as a beginner I didn't think it was too bad. Not really problems other than the learning of all that goes into the entire process. Easy to find files online and print. I did end up using Cura slicer instead of what came with. I was having bed adhesion issues but started using glue stick and have been loving it.

There's definitely a bigger learning curve, but like @Mhamilton0911 said, you can reach out to any of us for help. I'll gladly share my knowledge.

If you don't want to think manufacturers, you can think about the style of printer you want.
Like, for instance, it may be good to ask yourself if you want a gantry-style printer or a core XY (I'm not even going to throw Delta out there). Another good question is about the size of your prints, and a third would be if you want multicolor capabilities.
figure those questions out then price out what you want, then compromise ;D

The A1 mini is cute and cheap. That tiny build plate though... But a lot of people absolutely love it.

I have an ender3 and I’m still confused on how to use it lol. But it works and I’ve gotten some much needed things out of it. I did learn that cheap filament is a larger headache than tuning the stupid bed.

Love it. I’ve toyed with the idea of a seahorse tank a few times, but I’m not sure I’d want any of the non dwarf varieties which ultimately doesn’t align with the space constraints of where I’d set the tank.

Thanks. He got an anti nausea shot, and sent home with gabapentin. But the problem is we can't get him to take it :rolleyes: he refuses to swallow when we try to force it in his mouth.

Is it just coming back out the front end? Did they take aa film to check for a possible blockage? Just thinking out loud. I'm sending good thoughts.
