Man, that really sucks about your parents' dog. I, too, hope it isn't as bad as the emergency vet's diagnosis.

Cover-up? What's getting covered-up? (If it's not too personal to ask.)
A big stupid bird on my ribs 😂

Well, now, it's as though you need to show the "big stupid bird" now and what the cover is after... just sayin'.

Out of an abundance of caution, one of my coral deliveries was rescheduled to next week due to a storm near the main hub.

Still have 2 coming today...

Update:

Parent's dog had a 50% increase in her numbers and is starting to perk up a bit. Seems like she's on the up and that maybe the emergency vets went a little too far doomsday.

Skeletor had a vet appt yesterday, was supposed to be his annual comprehensive bloodwork. He needed an update on bordetella, annual deworming, his proheart injection, and just a checkup. He's been doing well, just old dog stuff.

His ALT and creatinine were both exceptionally high, so they pulled a urine sample. The inhouse portion of that was normal. They're sending bloodwork and urine sample out to a lab to check on them. Vet is concerned early signs of kidney disease.

He also wants us to start him on adequan injections for his joints. I'm waiting until we get the results from the more indepth lab review before I do that though because research shows adequan is contraindicated for pets with kidney problems.

I'm hoping he's fine and that I get the call in a few days that it was a false alarm and the lab says all is well, then I'll order the adequan and see if it helps his old bones.

Anyway, today:

Scallop and blueberry gorg are for the pony tank. At least, I think I'm putting the blueberry gorg in the pony tank... we'll see....

Happy to hear your parents' dog does not sound as bad as the emergency vet diagnosed.

Sending good juju to Skeletor's kidneys. At the end of the day, kidney failure is what we lost our Chihuahua, Itty Bitty, to a year ago. I still cannot look at her urn and pawprints without getting choked up.

That's quite the order!

That's quite the order!
180 gallons to fill in this peninsula.....

None of that will be visible 🙄

I also have a zoanthids order that was held until next week.

Glad the in-laws took their baby home for some time instead of buying into the bad diagnosis!

And got a 2nd opinion from their regular vet 🖤

Hopefully she continues to improve.

Corals arrived. Acclimated. Put into the tank.

Can't tell at all from the couch 😑

You can barely even tell I have fish 😂

There are 3 breweries in town.
Marker is way too chaotic and they only really have 1 good beer. We never go there.

Tidal is our go-to. They do open mic comedy night every other week. This is an off week. Their beers are great.

Broadstreet is good, but always has exceptionally loud live music so we don't come often.

We were downtown so we decided to visit Broadstreet. Saw their calendar said open mic tonight. Husband said "they competing with tidal?!" I said "nah, it's gonna be music"....

It's loud music. Called it.

Mantis got mad and kicked out a few of the frags from yesterday. I need to go on a dollar tree adventure to get superglue.

Spent the night awake every hour with Skeletor and his mudbutt. Luckily he woke me up every time he needed to go out, no indoor accidents. Holy hell I'm exhausted though.

Night 2 of sick butt dog.

We tried a new dental chew, pretty sure that was the trigger.

Started him on pumpkin this morning and have some anti diarrhea stuff coming this afternoon for him.

Not affecting his appetite at all.

Sick butt anything sucks.

You give him straight pumpkin or do you mix rice into it?

Mix the pumpkin into his regular food.

I do also have some freeze dried rice electrolyte stuff by a brand called Under the Weather that is coming today for him as well. We've used it with great success before.
