If i had to guess, I'd say because they spit sand into the water/ coral.

My monsters in the old tank started burying all my acanthophyllia and cynarina... but I can't have them anymore :(

Mangroves in the toad tank had a crazy growth spurt out of nowhere....

Test results came back.. Alk and calcium appear to have done some climbing, backed off the dosing on them. Did a little moonshiner catch-up. Need to order a few dailies to replenish. Nothing really wild though, the randomly elevated things I was concerned about last time dropped a little (a lot in some cases) so I'm confident it was whatever media I removed.

Starbucks was making them a few months ago. One of my coworkers walked in with one. Looked.... Interesting? I couldn't bring myself to try one, especially not from Starbucks. Ube is decent though in other things so I wouldn't be opposed to an Ube latte from elsewhere or even homemade. Not overly sweet.

Not a fan of Starbucks myself. Their coffee always tastes/smells burned to me and yes everything is way too sweet

Hung out with the dog and husband and chickens, met some friends at a local Mexican restaurant for lunch and had delicious food and massive margaritas, came home and took a nap, had a delightful red velvet bundt cake. Almost finished reading Parade of Horribles... Finishing that this morning.

Was a good day.

Red Velvet is my favorite cake. Also, QT, years ago, had a Red Velvet cappuccino (back when they first started making their made-to-order coffees) that was quite amazing.
