Calcium consumption

Ok, my first action would be to check pump calibration / setup, unless you've done that. I get nowhere near that amount of evaporation on my tank, but I'm in the UK, lol.
I just calibrated the pump. Just opened it actually. But that’s normal for my evaporation. That’s never changed

No idea what the image is, sorry. Is it an amount dosed by one of those fancy Alk dosing machines? How much calcium hydroxide powder are you putting in the RODI?

What ever the max dose is 2 teaspoon per gallon I think

But you must make it very regularly, you should know. Sounds like under delivery to me.
Under delivery. What do you mean? Not using enough kalk powder?

Dunno, maybe. Do you stir it? Do you top off your ATO automatically with a RODI? I'm still a little baffled as to why the numbers change on your pump image. Does the ATO trigger your dosing pump?

No I add rodi to it about every 4 days. The ATO is its own thing. Just evaporation I guess. It’s never the exact same everyday. All that evaporation cause my kalk not to be strong enough?

Are you talking about a kalk stirrer, that gets fed from the ATO?

Can you clarify how you're feeding the Kalk? Is it a kalk reactor/stirrer that is being fed by your ATO or a small pump?

A gallon a day of evaporation on a 65 gallon is a lot unless you have fans across the tank and sump.

Agreed, my 60 gal system only uses about 3 gallons per week. I run LEDs with no fans, if its hot I just leave my canopy open..

What are you adding rodi to?

How are you mixing the kalk? If you are mixing 2 teaspoons per gallon is should be a fully saturated solution.

I have two separate containers. Regular RODI for my ATO. then the other container is RODI mixed with Kalk that’s doses 146 ml per hour.

So you are adding a gallon of kalk and a gallon of top off water (for evaporation)?

Edit - when calibrating the kalk dosing pump, are you entering the correct measured value? For example 9.2 mls, not 92 mls.

Dosing pump

So I’ve switched it. Instead having my ATO filling my tank all day. I’ve got a dosing pump for kalk 3500ml a day. So there is still a gallon of Evaporation I just switched it to a dosing pump for my kalk so I wouldn’t tear up my pump and it would be consistent dosing of kalk.
