Calcium Reactor for LARGE reef...

What can you suggest? Im looking at Deltec PF601S and the Medium Korallin Zucht reactors. The tank will be about 750 Gals. Thanks.

hands down the nicest reactor you will find IMO is from www.Reefmania.net

go to their reactor section and look at their largest model of updraft reactors. Thats the one i have being made. Its unreal in size, and the workmanship is second to none. Ive seen tons of Bob's work in person.

The prices are excellent too!

it will handle 1000+ gallons as well.

Good price on those Reefmania reactors but is the CR600 big enough? company only rates it to 600G

Id get something made specifically for your setup, Either a GEO or ATB

After seeing these pictures it would be hard to get something else.

Thanks for the response. It says on his site it will handle a 600 gallon tank. What makes you think 1000? Do you have one of these? No disrespect, it's a lot of money, so I want to know where your facts are based. What makes you think these are SO nice? They look good, but do they compare to the fluidized Deltec reactors? Anyone, please chime in. I probably won't pull the trigger for about a month, so I wanna be sure.

Wow!!, that ATB looks insane. That thing is LARGE. I'll have to look into that one. I know ATB makes great stuff, but I wonder how expensive? Thanks for the suggestion.

You can also talk to Warner Marine about getting hold of one of these bad boys. And there is another one larger than this. Notice the salt bucket next to it. There's about 35-40lbs of media in here.

Everyones first question... The smaller sedra on the side draws the CO2 in and shoots it through the bioballs, making a few small bubbles into a bazillion little bubbles before jamming it into the bottom of the media. It seems to work awesome. The larger sedra is the recirc pump for the CO2, as well as the feed pump, drawing water from the system and passing it through. Everything flows "in" the bottom and up through the media, where excess CO2 gathers at the top of the cap and is drawn back in by the larger sedra.

Okay, I guess that makes sense. So this reactor uses 2 pumps, but doesn't use a feed pump... Interesting.

I love my schuran jetstream 1. The jetstream 2 would easily handle 750g IMO. Compact, efficient design, can be mounted on a wall or inside a stand.

i like the idea of the warner marine but dont like sedra pumps

SHURAN. Had one and it was great. Also the one the other good companies copied. Why not buy toyota if everything else is compared to it?
They also use eheim which you already have all over the store.
Had a geo and it was ok but troublesome. Good craftsmanship.
