Hi,
I am converting an 100g acrylic reef-ready tank to a sump. I cut out the corner overflow boxes and I'm wondering what to do with the 6 holes in the back of the tank. I currently have bulkheads in them, so I just put plugs on the outside. (One of the holes currently has a "pipe to nowhere" because my last bulkhead is missing the nut).

Should I leave it like this or remove the bulkheads and patch with pieces of acrylic? If I leave the holes it could be useful in case I ever want to plumb something that enters the sump through the back wall. I guess a compromise is I could attach the patch pieces with acrylic so I could remove them later if I ever wanted to use the holes. Thoughts? Recommendations?

Capping them is probably the easiest and cheapest route to go.

If you trust your acrylic work, then patch it.

Personally, I would just cap it, especially if the sump is going to be our of sight.
