Hello,
I’m just wondering. Those who have used these prepackaged live sands. Are they any good? Is it just bacteria in the sand, or are there other beneficial organisms(which I doubt due to the shelf life)? Thanks to anyone who has used it before.

prepackaged live sand only harbours bacteria in terms of microfauna ... so no other little critters like copepods and such. i'm in the camp that believes there's a benefit to using live sand (and it's reapplication periodically once/twice a year).

the bags will have a production date or an expiration date so check accordingly. i look for obvious signs of moisture in the bag.
