Chaeto tank

I have a 40 breeder I was wanting to set up to just grow chaeto. I have big grow light and some powerheads. I figured I’d throw a couple live rocks in there and an extra clown pair I have. Will the macro grow or do I need more fish or dosing. Basically want a chaeto grow out tank

It should work.

I might just leave the tank fish free and then dose plant fertilizer for nutrients. Less work than another fish tank if all you want is to grow Chaeto.
