Looks like a fish I've seen in the Bahamas known locally as a "Grunt." We spear them often when they get big enough.

Thanks! I love diving and seeing something different every time. This shot was either taken in Lauderdale or south of Miami, so could be the same fish as in the Bahamas.

Grunt it is then! I've caught much less beautiful grunting grunts, they are a trip. Here's a parrotfish.

I caught a grunt like that in NC that ran like 17 inches...my fishing buddy immediately declared that it was a "Turbo-Grunt"!!!!!

Looks like a snake eel. Probably one of the neatest fish I have ever kept!

That is definitely a Snapper, right? :D

Oh! And the reason they call them Grunts, is when you take them out of the water, they make a Grunting sound. It is kinda sad, but very strange. :neutral:
