I have an aqua euro 1/4hp chiller. It is a work horse I have had for maybe 5 years. When it would kick in you heard it. Now it seems to take longer to chill, it still does but there is no real kick in sound. There seemed to be two distinctive sounds like when it was on low it sounded like a fan when it kicked in it was load like a wall a/c unit. Dies this mean it unit is dying and I should start shopping around maybe just needs recharging?
