I had a Powder Brown Tang that died of a pretty bad bacterial infection. he was in a QT with a few other fish with Copper and Metroplex. I took him out and put him by himself in a 10 gallon and dosed it with Furan-2 because he was dying and I wanted to get him out of the copper to give him a fighting chance.

Long story short, he died and I washed out the 10 gallon tank and the equipment with extremely hot water and dried it all up. I want to use it for QT for a pair of Clownfish and was wondering it would be OK to use the tank again as is or do I need to sanitize it with bleach before using it again?

Bleach water, rinse and let dry, can't hurt.

I use 1/2 cup per 10g.

I dose it directly into a running tank and let it run for 24 hours.

Then I drain, rinse, and let completely air dry.

Don't use the bleach more than 24 hours as it can damage the silicone seals over time.

It is empty and dry already, so I will fill it up and add bleach tonight. I will let it run overnight and rinse it out after work tomorrow.

Thank you for the advice and your quick reply!
