I like to have backups of everything and decided to make sure that the most important component in my reef has one. I just received another 2016 Apex brain but it doesn't seem to work like the old Apex where you can create a file from the old one and apply it to the new one.

Is there anyone out there that has detailed instructions on how to nbackup and clone a 2016 Aoex brain?

Recent AOS does have the Load/Save backup capability. It's access by a button found on the Misc page.

Make sure you have the latest AOS installed.

Did you change the default username and password for Apex Local? If not it should be admin / 1234

I've changed my apex login credentials to something more personal but had to use the default admin/1234 when prompted after selecting to save my config from the Misc screen.
