So I have 2 ode clowns and I want to know if you can keep 2 black ones with these. Mine are not paired, the others are however. So can you keep 2 sets of clowns in one tank if they are different colors?? Opinions please and Austin chime in! My tank is about 75 gal total volume. Thanks!!

I am not saying it cant be done. I personally wouldnt risk it there gonna fight sooner or later. Clowns are pretty territorial in my opinion or can be and could fight to the death or cause life ending injuries from fighting. If the tank was larger maybe... This is just my opinion.........

Adding clown fish to other established clown fish in the tank cannot be done. They will fight. However if you added them all in at the same time it could have been done

Thanks! I was just wondering, didn't know since my pair wasn't mated and the others are. Does it matter that mine are tank raised and the black oces are wild caught?? Also mine are not hosting anything in the tank.....

I'm not positive, but I think they would fight. I used to have a single clarkii and a single black oscellaris in my 180 (both females) and they were contsantly going at it so I had to move the oscellaris into my frag tank.

They are all Oce clowns but they are different colors. I was told they might be ok since mine weren't hosting and they weren't mated either.

the chances that they will beat each other to death at some point is very high, doesn't matter the color or species difference. Also, occe's don't normally host BTA's.
