Clown is crashing

Several years back we didn't experiance the issues we have fought since we got started back into the hobby. I dont understand why the parisites are so bad now. I didn't even know what velvet was until...bam! It took two rounds of fish before we knew what we were facing. We have one set up for fish, but I see one for corals in my future. Stocking up on meds now for sure, I just need to find out what meds to get.

Sorry about all of this. It is always difficult when we lose a pet/fish/friend...
Rule number one of this hobby (and pets in general) is that stuff dies. I know that does not make it easier, but it is a fact. These fish and corals and inverts are "spacemen" that we stick in these capsules and we try to provide the best survivable environment for them. The smallest thing can make it not work out. I have found these lessons important for teaching myself, and my child about mortality, and how to deal with it. I don't even think I could count the numbers of fresh and saltwater fish that have died while under my care over the last 40 years.
It is a choice, and if your wife chooses not to do it, well, then, that is her choice. Let her decide. I wish you both the best.

Fish are still not out of the woods.
Day 2 after flatworm treatment, the flatworms exit killed a ton but there is still a pretty good number of survivors. I will either have to risk a second round or entertain a 6 line. Still have not spotted the wrasse, the yellow goby still looks fine, but I noticed bumps that apeard on both sides of the female clown. Bacteria infection? Stings? Doesn't look like velvet and it doesn't look like ich to me. Theses appeared after the worm treatment and ammonia spike. Not flashing and still hanging in the RBTA. Ignore the micro bubbles, I this have heavy airation going in the tank.
Heading the the lfs' as soon as I know what we are dealing with to stock up on meds.

The bumps are in the same area of the back on both sides. Bumps are no where else on the fish.

Top of the middle white? Looks like an infection, but Im no guru as you know. Hopefully everything pulls through! I would be afraid to do the treatment for flat worms again.

Guessing infection as well and i am very nervous about treating the tank again. Nems are doing fine. If I have to treat again I will pull all the other fish and put them in the Qt tank, them blast the little devils. The worms not the fish! :)

Thats what I was thinking, I figured if the wrasse is still alive he is going to give you a run for your money catching him.
What I see on the clownfish looks like abrasions that are now getting infected. Other possibilities include Brooklynella or Uronema, both of which sometimes can remain latent in an infected aquarium until a stressor event (e.g. dosing Flatworm Exit causes toxins to be released) occurs.

Thanks my friend, it stinks but is definitely a learning experience. When it's all said and done can share my mistakes and what worked with someone that's getting ready to go down this bumpy road.

The clown is being treated in qt and still eating and acting great. The wrasse FINALLY made an appearance yesterday evening. We haven't lost anything else in the tank. Unfortunately the treatment didn't eliminate all the flatworms. It's going to require another hit. Pretty nervous about it and im mentally laying out a plan on how I will approach it this time.
The wife did say shes burned out and done. Once we get these little buggers eliminated and her tank back to it's full potential she will get back on board. Thank you for asking!

I understand her feelings. Been there. I know your flatworm exit has been a pain, but I have learned a lot from your documentation. Before I only read about flatworm exit, use caution...now I know.
