can i feed my clown pleco salami or uncured ham? also, for driftwood, can I just get some backyard wood and kill all the bacteria in there?

Unless you know exactly what type of tree the wood came from and have researched it, I would not use it in your aquarium. As mentioned above, some softwoods will melt, and worse they can release things into the tank that will be detrimental for the fish. Specifically, I believe sappy wood like pine is a big no no.

Morponi and manzanita were the ones I used most often.

Yeah, some woods are actually toxic to fish and other aquatic life, so I'd definitely make sure you know what wood you're using and if it's safe or not.

Terrestrial meats are too fatty for fish, among other things. They should not be fed to any fish.
I also like manzanita wood, and my bn plecos do too.
