A week ago, the glass heater in the sump tank broke - temperature went up too warm and I wonder if there are toxic chemicals released from the broken heater? Anyways, our 3 healthy clown fish about 2" in size, have quit eating and are hiding together behind the live rock in the 110 gallon tank. Ideas? Our emerald crab seems affected as well but not our angel fish.

Oh! Chemicals toxic to your livestock could have leaked, I suppose that heavy water changes will not make anything worse at this point.

Interesting that the clowns seem affected but not the angel. I had a juvenile Queen Angel years ago that everytime I did a water change or internally cleaned the tank it would stop eating for a few days and then resume as of nothing had happened, like clockwork.

I was thinking that perhaps the clowns just wanted that territory and might begin to act more normal over time but, if the crab is weird as well, doesn't that mean that something like copper leaked?
