co2 media depleted?

this is 4 month old media. it is sprinkled with purple color. is it spent? ph says so and has dropped so I want to change it out. why is it not all purple like other brands? this is icecap brand.

I believe after turning purple it will eventually change back to white. Maybe some of it has started changing back to white?

This. Using the color change can be iffy at best. Watch your pH and change when it starts lowering

I have switched to medical grade media.. I used it once and it all turned deep purple. un like this.
