Pretty awesome!

Any tips you can give on moving a tank to college? My son will be moving from Texas to Pa in a couple weeks with his 13.5 as well (2 naked clowns, several snails and 3 hammerheads)

We're planning on keeping the live rock in a cooler, still trying to figure out the fish and coral situation (although I'm debating about flying them up with me at a later date)

This is my first time too lol, but if I would recommend anything I’ve read or scene is since it’s such a far trip I’d go to petco or whatever big box pet store you got and grab some battery powered air stones to make sure the water has oxygen in it the entire trip even if you don’t bring the livestock you’re gonna need to keep all your bacteria on the rock alive as well, if the majority of corals are hardy like lps and softies you probably could also put them in the cooler with the rock, I wish you good luck !

cool little tank! do you have a screen top? if not I would get one to keep ppl hangs out of the tank. and a no beer or anything on top of the tank. I think placement is key to having a successful college tank.

good luck have fun.
I don’t but I for sure need to invest in one lol, and thank you !

Quick little update (1 out 2), ended up receiving the Icecap K1 Nano Protein Skimmer for my Fluval Evo 13.5. As a few people have said about this tank is that it’s a real snug fit in Chamber 2 and they ain’t lying but I think I got it in there pretty good and I’m seeing a good tea colored water in the collection cup already. This is definitely gonna come in handy in college with studying and playing football.

Second update is I received an order from Gulf Coast Ecosystems ! Got some beautiful red Macroalgae with there red Macroalgae bundle he sells and a gorgeous Ricordea for a real good price, hopefully the Macroalgae will not just help with the esthetic but help with high nutrients while in college.

I’m really trying to get this tank to be as easy and forgiving as possible and to help with breaking the tank down also glued some drags to the rock.

I just recieved my K1 nano protein skimmer and it is shooting out an abnormal amount of micro bubbles. Curious to know if yours is doing the same?
Mines not to bad but when I set it up last night it was all in the display but it’s probably just the break in period just wait a few days they say on the box it takes 3-4 weeks so different for every person I guess

Please share some photos of the setup. I have one of the 13.5 tanks also as an anemone tank and had a clown jump out. Just replaced it hoping it wont happen again. I just really like the look of no glass or screen on top. Although if it happens again ill have to fab up something.
