I don’t know if it’s safe to use api stress coat or api tap water condition or seachem prime. Is it safe to use with copper power

@vetteguy53081 @Humblefish
You can use prime which is merely a water conditioner. Stress coat also a water conditioner

@vetteguy53081 i used the stress coat and it dropped my copper levels from 1.75 last night to 1.63. I think im gonna go with the two week protocol and just transfer them on day 15 to sterile tank with no water changes

I suggest 30 days but go at least 21 days to assure the life cycle of protozoans have been addressed

@vetteguy53081 almost lost my pufferfish today had not done water change and added cuprisorb it would’ve been gone. I should have sticked with ich management or done Hyposalinity. Was litteraly sitting at bottom of tank not moving and faded colors. Moment did 20% water change came back to life. Copper toxicity is real. Somehow my eel is still ok too luckily.

How were you measuring copper level and at what level were you treating fish?
You did water change, are you sure ammonia level was not elevated? How are you testing ammonia?

@vetteguy53081 should I replace the live rock now that was treated in copper? Even with cupri sorb it will still absorb and leach and there is no time frame of how long that may take. I have seachem matrix running in my filter that is established will that be able to keep the cycle going until new live rock is established

Live rock is absorbent Cuprisorb helps but is not 100% with removal and I di not realize you had rock in during treatment which would have lowered the copper amount unless you were testing daily and maintaining at least 2.25ppm. You do not want that rock back in your tank if there will be presence of coral and Invertebrates.

@vetteguy53081 so should I replace about 70% of the rock work right now. I have seachem matrix in the filter that is established and will keep the cycle going
