Copperband Butterfly (CBB) feeder

Hi! Is it possible to get/buy the STL file for this to print myself?

Hi, there,

You still making this? I would like to get one for 3/4” glass with felt pad. I am in Canada so not sure if you ship to Canada. Also a new member so I don’t know how to pm you.

I have a frozen food feeder that is basically a cage to hold mysid shrimp. My CBB picks at the frozen shrimp in the feeder cage but the food also escapes and the rest of the fish eat it. Does this feeder only allow the CBB to eat or do other fish also get to feed too. I’m looking for something only dedicated to the CBB. Thanks.

The feeder works well, but it will not prevent every other fish from getting some of the food. I do not think any feeder can guarantee that the CBB gets 100%.

With mine, I would estimate that my CBB gets more than 80% of the food, even with several large, aggressive feeders competing with him, including a 10-inch Naso tang, a 7-inch purple tang, a 6-inch Achilles tang, and several wrasses. The other fish still grab some pieces that escape, but the CBB gets the majority.

I also partially thaw the cube before placing it in the feeder. That softens the food and allows the CBB to pull it out and eat it more quickly.
