So, I am new to corals and when I engage most people about the topic, they begin speaking to me in tongues. I don't have a strong knowledge of names of corals and how to keep, grow and maintain them as of yet. but, I'm learning....
I set up my first tank last June and, at the time, had no intention of doing coral. However, after the live rock I had bought brought in some mushroom corals and little starfish, the intrigue has grown. I have since added some basic soft corals.
So, needing advice on lighting. I have been told that lighting is everything when it comes to coral and I know that the light I have now is insufficient to grow most everything but soft corals. I would like to venture into other types of coral in the future.
So, What lights do you like and why???

I'll be of no help as I run the fluval series. I'm just into leathers and softies and that's what it grows.

It's a fun hobby. Take it slow and ask a ton of questions and youll do well
